Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience
Rother is a vibrant and inclusive district and we are looking for a forward thinking planning professional to join our talented and enthusiastic planning policy team.
You will join the team at an exciting time and will play a key role in progressing the Council’s Local Plan Review in a time of Climate Emergency with specific responsibility for infrastructure provision, through the management of CIL and s106 receipts.
You will help us to shape Rother’s future through liaising directly with stakeholders and engaging our community including through raising awareness of the role good planning has.
As a valuable member of our planning team, you’ll join a progressive council. We know that in order to provide the best for our residents, businesses and visitors, we need to do the same for our people. We have set out to make our workplaces happy and safe environments where staff feel content and valued.
Excellent project and staff management skills are essential. You’ll use your specialist policy knowledge to quickly become a vital member of the team. You’ll need to have excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to appreciate the long-term vision of the work you’re doing. You will be determined to do your best and help plan a future for Rother that benefits all who live and work here.
In return we are committed to both personal and professional learning and development. We offer flexible working and understand the value of a good work/life balance. Well-being is important to us and we offer regular staff training, events and an employee assistance programme to support our colleagues.
