Planning Officer - Central London Boroughs - £22ph to £25ph.

Your new company
Working as a planning officer in a high motivated local authority, you will get to hit the ground running, operating with a variety of cases from both residential and commercial backgrounds.

Your new role
You will process a wide range of applications as well as provide planning advice on a full range of planning issues associated with the development of the local plan. You will analyse, interpret, consider options, and make recommendations on applications submitted under planning and associated legislation, in accordance with statutory requirements, the Council's policies and procedures, and good practise. You will advise on pre-application schemes and contribute to the investigation of the development of potential land. Whilst covering basic to strategic level applications you will consider heritage, urban design, sustainability, and other related matters, whilst liaising with all stakeholders involved.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be degree qualified in town planning or a RTPI equivalent subject and with a proven track record of dealing with a range of development management or Strategic Planning applications. A Knowledge and application of Town and Country planning and associated legislation, and national, regional, and local policy including requirements for public consultation. You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of planning policy and practice and good IT skills with excellent verbal and written communication.

Work will be mainly remote, with only being required in the office twice a week from September, in London. This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of interesting commercial and householder applications and oversee an ever-changing area.
