Work for one of the most prestigious West London Boroughs, in an area undergoing constant redevelopment and modernisation. Principal Planning Officer: £40ph-£50ph.

Your new company
Working as a Principal planning officer in this West London Borough will mean that you support the effective renewal and regeneration of the local area. This borough is currently dealing with a mixture of complex planning applications, both commercial and residential, managing significant levels of investment across the area.


Your new role
You will provide professional input to the determination of a personal caseload of more complex planning applications within one of the teams, alongside a wider input into related policy and programmes. You will also negotiate large scale, complex major applications that carry significant investment into the Borough and contribute to its regeneration. You will be required to liaise and work with officers or divisions from across the Council to deliver the best outcomes on more complex proposals. You will support the management of the team and take responsibility for an area of work within the team, such as householder and minor pre-application advice.


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to work quickly and efficiently as decisions and comments need to be made promptly. You will therefore need to be working already at a senior or principal level within London to have a good understanding of the London planning system and enjoy keeping up to date with any policy changes. You will need to be able to delegate and work well as part of a team and reports will need to be accurate and delivered professionally.

Work will be mainly remote, with only being required in the office once or twice a week from September, in London.
