The Council’s Planning Enforcement service is at the heart of maintaining confidence in the integrity of the planning system and ensuring Ealing is a healthy and great place to live.

We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic Planning Enforcement Officer to join the Planning Enforcement Team.

You must have experience in managing a busy and varied caseload of different types of planning enforcement breaches and dealing with multiple lines of enquiry under pressure. You will need to have a proven track record in delivering successful planning enforcement outcomes, be that through negotiation, serving a variety of enforcement notices, defending notices on appeal, successful prosecution or taking direct action.

You will need to demonstrate a professional level of competency in interpretation and enforcement of complex regulatory legislation. With excellent communication skills and be committed to maintaining effective relationships with our key stakeholders/partners.

A foundation degree or equivalent professional qualification in Planning will be required for this role.

Although this role is career graded, we are currently looking for candidates who meet the criteria for grade 10 only.

This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
