Salary £22,183 – £38,890 depending on qualifications and experience

Uttlesford has a picturesque rural landscape (with significant development challenges) and we are looking for a Planning Policy Officer (Career Grade) to work within the Policy team as part of the team focusing on delivering a new local plan, the successful candidate can expect to be working as part of a team on: 

• Reviewing, updating and commissioning new technical evidence.
• Developing and drafting policy.
• Undertaking monitoring and keeping the Annual Monitoring Report up to date.
• Engaging elected Councillors, stakeholders and residents.
• Providing comments on planning applications.

To be successful in this role you must have excellent interpersonal and IT skills. You will also have a confident methodical and organised approach to your workload, be calm under pressure with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
