This is an exciting opportunity to join the Spatial Planning Team at Chorley Council. Chorley is part of the Central Lancashire Local Plan partnership and we are developing a new single Central Lancashire Local Plan which this postholder will play a part in developing.
The postholder will contribute to the delivery of all aspects of the planning policy service including assisting in plan-making, research, monitoring and forecasting and day-to-day requests for policy advice.
Ideally the postholder will have experience of the preparation of local plans and other aspects of planning policy and have detailed knowledge and understanding of national planning policy. The postholder will also need to be studying for or successfully completed a RTPI recognised degree/diploma in Town Planning.
