Head of Capital Delivery (12 Month Contract)

Osborne Richardson has an excellent opportunity for an Interim Head of Capital Delivery to join one of our London Local Authority clients for a 12 month contract.

Leading a team of two Principal Capital Project Managers, you will take responsibility for the delivery of our clients 2021-24 approved Capital Programme. You will work closely with consultants to ensure that the programme is delivered on time and to budget. You will also work with service areas in the development of strategies and policies which ensure cross-Council implementation of existing and new capital projects that respond to capital investment opportunities.

To be considered for this role it is essential you have recently held a similar position with another UK Local Authority. You must have formal training in building surveying/technology/construction or related discipline at Degree level. Comprehensive knowledge of national policy, legislation, statutory obligations and current thinking in relation to delivering major capital projects in a local government setting is essential.

You must also have good knowledge of Building Regulations and H&S legislation and have excellent contract administration skills and knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts. Strong knowledge of procurement and the public Procurement Regulations is also required.

This role is offering £550/day and this role inside IR35. It will be offered for 12 months and ideally they need someone who can start in January 2022.
