Senior Planner/Planner

Neo Environmental, an award-winning planning and environmental consultancy, have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Town Planner or Planner to work on our projects in England. The successful candidate will ideally have relevant experience in the Renewables sector. The position will offer the right individual the opportunity to work for a well-established and growing multi-disciplinary planning and environmental consultancy.

The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of projects, with the main focus on renewable energy developments. Prospective candidates will be expected to have excellent report writing skills and be well organised with meticulous attention to detail.

The successful candidates should ideally be RTPI accredited or working towards accreditation, and will ideally have at least 3 years of post-graduate planning experience, preferably in a consultancy environment.

Duties  

• Project Management and production of Planning Applications, Planning Statements, DASs, EIAs, etc
• Stakeholder Engagement and Management
• Co-ordinating in-house consultants and liaising with clients
• Organising and conducting site visits, team meetings and scheduling work
• Subcontractor management
• Tender and Fee Proposal production

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrable experience of the successful delivery and management of projects
• Excellent working knowledge of the English Planning system
• The successful candidate will be required to produce reports for clients and so attention to detail, reliability, and good organisational skills are essential.
• Ability to project manage multi-disciplinary teams and multiple projects simultaneously
• Full driving license
• Own transport

• Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
• Tendering and fee production Experience
• Proactive networker
• Solar farm and/or wind energy experience
