We are a friendly, supportive and innovative planning team offering the opportunity to get involved in a great variety of investigations to protect the social, economic and environmental qualities of the area, including protecting the countryside and Green Belt and preserving and enhancing our distinct heritage - including the beautiful walled city of Chester with its concentration of listed buildings and Area of Archaeological Importance.

Your main responsibility will be to manage planning enforcement cases and appeals, but from time to time you may also be asked to assist our planning applications teams. You will demonstrate the ability to work as part of our friendly and committed team of planners and support staff, have experience of working in the field of planning enforcement, be an excellent communicator and show a clear commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

The contractual work location for this role is listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
