Planning Enforcement Officer Role (Graduates Accepted) £25ph-£30ph
Your new company
Working as a Planning Enforcement Officer for this East London Borough you will get to work in and around the surrounding area on a variety of both householder and commercial cases. You will get to work closely with the borough's residents and be an integral part of future development in the area.
Your new role
You will be responsible for a caseload of planning enforcement investigations, in a target driven role, whilst still working at the quality and standard of the council. You will ensure planning fees and other sources of income are correctly calculated and processed for your caseload, whilst also promoting customer satisfaction when delivering Planning Enforcement services. AS well as this you will get the opportunity to evaluate and make sound recommendations on planning enforcement cases, the complexity of which will rise with progression through the career grade from simple to more complex proposals and projects including the drafting of enforcement and other notices, writing witness statements, preparing papers for prosecution and dealing with subsequent planning applications as directed. You will carry out site visits, gathering the necessary evidence to enable cases to be resolved, the complexity of which will also rise with progression.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to work quickly and efficiently as decisions and comments need to be made promptly. This role is looking for those with either previous UK planning experience from graduate to professional level or for individuals with previous detailed enforcement experience. A UK driving licence will also be required for this role.
What you'll get in return
A guaranteed 6+ month rolling contract, with potential to go permanent afterwards, as well as a competitive pay rate. Work will be mainly on site, driving around the borough, with also being required in office on a daily basis, to print off relevant notices and attend briefings. This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of interesting development applications and oversee an ever-changing area, and a great way to start your planning career.
