Your new role
They are looking to strengthen the planning team with an ambitious and commercially minded individual who has the enthusiasm and drive to contribute positively to their team. This role will allow someone to be involved in all aspects of planning, working on a variety of client briefs and across a wide range of property sectors. You will work under the direction of senior colleagues to provide professional planning advice to their clients across the private and public sectors. The focus of work will be in the North West and North Wales, but there will also be opportunity to work across the rest of the UK where appropriate and required to support on UK wide mandates. They work for local authorities, Government departments and agencies, property companies, developers, landowners and corporate occupiers and respond to a constantly evolving agenda. They provide advice across all stages of development from conception and feasibility to securing planning consents and delivering development. The role will involve direct client contact, a varied work profile and regular liaison with colleagues in other teams in Manchester and other UK offices.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 6 months' professional planning experience in a similar role and be confident in advising clients, independently managing small planning instructions and working closely with senior colleagues on larger instructions. You will be professionally qualified (MRTPI) or working towards the submission of your APC (APC support will be available if required).
