Principal Urban Designer

An Exciting opportunity to join this London Borough's Design and Heritage Team.
 
This role is a great opportunity to join an ambitious team of urban designers, architects, and conservation specialists delivering innovative approaches to the built environment alongside  transformational growth. Through our ambitious emerging  Local Plan and Heritage Strategy SPD we are putting high quality design, local distinctiveness and community benefits at the heart of placemaking.
 
We're are looking for an exceptional candidate to make a positive contribution to the team at a key moment in a number of large scale projects. You will provide proactive design advice as part of Planning Performance Agreements, pre-applications and planning applications and work with colleagues across the Planning Service, the Design Review Panel, developers, agents and communities to help deliver positive outcomes for the Borough. There will also be opportunities to become involved in shaping the emerging Local Plan, growth strategies, corporate projects and housing delivery.

We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements including part time hours, compressed hours, working from home and staggered start and finish times.
 
This is an initial 3 month contract, with pay rate upto £44/h Inside IR35.
