Plus Comprehensive Benefits Package

Part time –22.5 hrs per week, Flexible Hours - Permanent

We are not your average local authority planning department. We are a forward thinking, innovative, and fun team; offering a great working environment, a wide range of projects, and career development opportunities.

We have experience of, and continue to deal with, a comprehensive range of developments types; ranging from bespoke rural schemes, to large scale commercial development. You won’t find a typical planning team approach with us…we are positive, customer focussed, and passionate about creating a great place to live, work and visit.

We are in a period of growth, with high levels of development continuing forward requiring a strategic focus. We also have a new Local Plan underway to drive this, and are looking to recruit a Principal Planning Policy Officer to help take this forward.

In addition to taking forward what will be an ambitious new plan for the district, the role will also provide the opportunity to lead on work in a number of strategic planning areas.

In addition to a Local Government Pension Scheme; we also offer fully flexible working hours and a range of other benefits.

The planning service has been piloting a hybrid working for some months and the role will therefore be a hybrid working of both home and office based. This has allowed the team to work together within the office.

For an informal discussion about this post please contact Vicky Chapman, Planning Policy and Strategy Manager, on 0116 272 7775.
