Planning Policy Manager
Newport City Council is looking to recruit a Planning Policy Manager within the Regeneration and Economic Development service area. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to help shape the future development of the City and play a key role in delivering the Council’s regeneration and growth aspirations as well as protecting our best historic and environmental assets.
We are seeking a motivated individual to lead on the delivery of the Replacement Local Development Plan, as well as representing Newport at a regional level with the pending creation of the South East Wales Strategic Development Plan. You will manage a small team of officers and be responsible for all local and strategic planning policy functions.
You will hold a recognised qualification in Town Planning at degree or diploma level and be a Chartered Member of the RTPI. Knowledge and previous experience in planning policy matters is essential.
