Service Area: Development Post title: South Warwickshire Local Plan Project Support Officer Post Ref: PU0000155                Post Status: 2 year fixed term (3 days a week part time, 22.2 hours)

Salary: Grade K Starting Salary £21,269 pro rata

Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick District Councils have a new role for a Project Support Officer to support the work on the South Warwickshire Local Plan. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key member of the dedicated team delivering the new Local Plan which is being prepared jointly by the two Councils.

We are looking for someone who is organised and proactive, has good communication skills and experienced in providing customer services. You will need to be a good team player and be able to collect, analyse and present information. Having an enthusiasm for and interest in the built environment is also essential!

You will be involved in a wide range of activities to support the Local Plan team under the direction of the Team Leader including:

-Maintaining the Local Plan Project Plan

-Assisting the organisation of consultation activities and maintaining consultee contact information and recording consultee responses

-Maintaining and updating the Local Plan website and online mapping functionality and arranging for the production of regular Local Plan e-newsletters

-Liaising with members of the public and other stakeholders to provide updates and respond to general queries on the Local Plan

There is need for significant levels of residential and economic growth in South Warwickshire and the Local Plan needs to meet these development challenges and its supporting infrastructure, alongside addressing a range of challenges. Central to this is tackling climate change and increasing biodiversity, improving connectivity and enabling the delivery of well-designed places, and promoting the health and wellbeing of our communities.
