We currently have three exciting opportunities available at Chichester District Council within our Development Management service. Whether you are an experienced Planning Officer or looking to commence a career in planning we have a rewarding role that would suit you.

We are looking for two experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with a range of either major or significant minor planning applications, pre-application enquiries, with responsibility for mentoring junior members of the team. The posts would be suitable for a qualified and experienced planning individual with excellent communication and presentation skills. The high quality of the natural environment is protected by national and international landscape designations and the historic environment is made up of numerous listed buildings and areas protected by conservation area status. The District is under significant pressure for growth and it has a strong economy, thus the challenge is to preserve and enhance these valued features whilst contributing to the delivery of sustainable development across the district.
