Are you interested in working in a great place, with great people?  Then look no further

With a new Local Plan in preparation, a regeneration agenda supported by substantial investment and the chance to deal with exciting and varied development proposals, West Lancashire is the ideal place for you to develop and advance your planning career.  We sit in a unique geographical location, within easy reach of the Liverpool and Manchester conurbations, with a mix of vibrant towns and villages sitting alongside tranquil countryside, making West Lancashire an attractive place to live, work and visit.

We want to hear from planners who are enthusiastic about the opportunity to work in our Development Management and Strategic Planning teams.  If you bring us dedication and commitment and enjoy working as part of a team, we can in return offer a range of opportunities to suit you within a supportive working environment and with a strong commitment to ongoing career development.

Successful candidates can choose to mainly work from home, but will need to carry out regular site visits within the Borough and work in our Ormskirk office for at least one day per week, or more if they prefer.  We pride ourselves on our friendliness and being a good employer with a range of benefits and employment terms and conditions to suit you.  A competitive salary, generous annual leave, the opportunity for hybrid working, Local Government Pension Scheme, work life balance policies, and support for your personal development are just some of the benefits we offer.  So if you are forward-thinking, motivated and you have the skills and qualities we need then we would love to hear from you!
