Access to free healthcare cash plan and benefits, 26-32 days holiday package (exclusive of public bank holidays) and option to purchase additional leave. We will double you monthly pension contributions and have family friendly policies.

We are looking for an individual to appraise and determine the most complex forms of pre-application, planning applications and appeals and to support the Major Projects Manager in the delivery of key sites in the district and to lead on the case management of strategic site delivery and to liaise with the Planning Policy Team for monitoring of the progression of those sites.

Bassetlaw is an attractive place to live and work. It includes the most northerly district of Nottinghamshire; bordering Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire with two main population centres - Retford and Worksop, each surrounded by a network of picturesque villages. All of our three offices in Worksop, Retford and Carlton Forest are easily accessible from the M1 and A1.

We are ambitious, creative and innovative. Our vision is to deliver a dynamic district where people want to live, work and prosper and to work in partnership with others to develop a better quality of life for all. We are committed to recruiting a great and talented workforce, creating opportunities for undertaking high profile and varied work and training as well as continuing with the highly flexible working arrangements, which includes continuing to utilise the benefits of home working.

We will value your contributions, give you access to a free healthcare cash plan and benefits, offer a very generous 26-32 days holiday package (rising incrementally each year and exclusive of public bank holidays) and give you the option to purchase additional annual leave tax-free. We will double your monthly pension contributions and provide the option to join our shared cost AVC scheme, offer discounted car parking of around £4 per month, and family friendly policies.  All new employees will be able to choose a welcome gift from the following options; 4 months free BPL gym membership, 1 year National Trust membership and many more options. We also offer hybrid working arrangements of partial home/office working.
