Development Management Team Leader

£42,403 - £46,464 per annum

This role includes a £5,000 Golden hello payment, a retention payment of £2,500 per annum, Essential Car User Allowance, Professional Membership fees paid (e.g. RTPI), and a relocation package.

About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Team Leader with a proven Development Management track record. You will be a key player in our Development Management team, responsible for a team determining a wide range of planning applications. You will play a vital role in helping shape the future of the department.

Whilst you will be required to manage your own Development Management caseload: critical to this role will be the management and mentoring of other Planners within the Development Management team. This will include staff development, Check-ins, 1:1’s and performance reviews to ensure the service is forward thinking, customer focused and high performing.

This role includes a £5,000 Golden hello payment, a retention payment of £2,500 per annum, Essential Car User Allowance, Professional Membership fees paid (e.g. RTPI), and a relocation package.

Please note this role is politically restricted.

About You

You will possess excellent communication skills, communicating with a range of interested parties including Members, applicants, agents, objectors and communities, as well as ensuring that the planning applications are determined in accordance with performance indicators.
