The company

They are a small/medium sized consultancy, offering flexible working, bonuses and rewards for good performance amongst the team. They work in partnership with architects, property owners, developers, and private investors to provide expert advice and strategy through the complete planning process.

The role specifics

In this position you will be undertaking planning consultancy project work at the Berkshire office.

You will take lead on projects to deliver a high-quality service to clients, providing clear and succinct planning advice. You must communicate clearly and concisely with clients, project teams and colleagues, whilst working in a smart and commercially minded way.

This role will require you to demonstrate excellent report writing skills, organisational skills and time management, including meeting deadlines, managing workload independently and monitoring project milestones, all with limited input from Directors and ADs.

As a Principal / Senior Planner you will also be coaching, motivating and supporting junior members of the team.

Working with their Marketing & Communications Associate to promote the business is another responsibility in this position.

Role requirements

All applicants must have experience of preparing or processing major applications, as well as having experience with appeals. Experience of the Plan-making process would be advantageous but not essential. You should also be actively working towards attaining MRTPI, if you haven’t already achieved this.

It would be another positive if you had a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Reward

You’ll be offered a salary ranging between £40,000 - £55,000 per annum for this role, depending on your experience and qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression, with flexible working, bonuses and rewards for good performance.
