About the role
In this interesting role, you’ll play a key part in the protection of the historic environment comprising of approximately 4,500 listed buildings and 33 conservation areas. You will be providing specialist advice and guidance to the Council and public on heritage assets, processing listed building applications and commenting on planning proposals as well as contributing to the Councils overall conservation activities.
About you
You will have a relevant degree in building conservation together with demonstrable experience of working in building conservation. You will also have a good understanding of traditional building practice and knowledge of the planning system in relation to heritage assets and relevant legislation.
A valid driving licence and your own car are essential (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
