Assistant Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to present an exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Town Planner to join a leading independent planning consultancy in the South-East of England!
My clients well established and dynamic team have been securing planning permissions for everything from small scale extensions to large scale residential developments and major regeneration projects for clients in both the public and private sectors! The current team is spread across 3 locations across the South-East of England, and my client is seeking an addition to their Crawley office.
Duties of this role will include a full range of planning services, preparing and submit planning applications and chase as required, providing regular updates to partners, directors, and the wider team. You will consult with external and internal stakeholders, research and visit sites when required, and help prepare Fee letters with information.
We are seeking applications from candidates with some experience in the planning sector, either public or private, with the ability to work independently and assist day-to-day operations with Director oversight.
Candidate Requirements
- you will ideally hold an RTPI accredited Town Planning degree and are MRTPI chartered, with a determination to keep up to date with changes in UK planning system.
- a minimum of 1 years' planning experience required, in either the Private and Public sectors.
- Understanding of all aspects of the planning process from inception to completion.
