Our client, a UK recognised multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Town Planner to join their team in Bristol. The successful Senior Town Planner will be working as part of an established team to deliver a variety of large scale, complex planning projects within the renewable energy and telecommunication sectors.

Qualifications and experience:

Candidates are sought with Chartered RTPI status and extensive planning experience, ideally with a mix of private and local authority experience. It is likely that the successful Senior Town Planner will have previous renewable energy project experience, a proven track record in business development and staff mentoring experience as a large part of the role will involve shaping and growing the existing team.

Duties:

• Delivering the full range of planning and development services to clients
• Taking a lead role in the deliver of large scale renewable energy schemes
• Managing and mentoring junior members of the team
• Actively contribute to the further growth of the team and workload
• Building up a strong client portfolio
• Responding to client planning enquiries, producing tender documents and negotiating with statutory consultees
