Job: Principal Development Management Officer
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Contract: 6 months + rolling
Hours: 37 per week
IR35: Inside

Join a dynamic team shaping the future of our community! As Development Control Team Leader, you'll lead impactful projects, influence key planning decisions, and ensure quality development—making a real difference while growing your leadership career.
About the role:
- Support the Development Manager in leading the Development Management Team.
- Handle significant planning applications, including site inspections, consultations, and assessments.
- Prepare and present reports to the Development Control Committee.
- Act as Development Manager in their absence, including workload allocation and performance monitoring.
- Negotiate improved development proposals and financial contributions for infrastructure.
- Provide advice on complex planning proposals to the public and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with council departments and external bodies on development matters.
- Prepare appeal statements and represent the council at hearings or inquiries.
- Address complaints and assist in Ombudsman investigations when necessary.
- Manage correspondence and other tasks as assigned.
